Terms of Service
Last updated 9 September 2026
These terms are the agreement between you and WhereToGo. They are written to be read, so please do. By creating an account or using the app you accept them.
1. Who we are
WhereToGo is an app for sharing places you like and seeing where the people you follow are going. It is operated from Morocco. “We” and “us” mean the operator of WhereToGo; “you” means you.
2. Who may use it
You must be at least 13 years old, and older if your country requires a higher age to agree to online services on your own. If you use WhereToGo on behalf of an organisation, you confirm you are allowed to accept these terms for it.
3. Your account
- Give accurate information when you sign up, and keep your account details current.
- You are responsible for what happens through your account. Keep your sign-in secure and tell us promptly if you think someone else has it.
- Do not impersonate someone else or pick a handle in order to pass yourself off as them.
- You may delete your account at any time. See deleting your account.
4. What you post stays yours
You keep every right you have in the photos, captions and messages you post. You do not transfer ownership to us.
So that the app can work, you give us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to store, reproduce and display your content within WhereToGo, to the people your own privacy settings allow, and to make the ordinary technical copies needed to serve and back it up. This licence exists only to run the service and ends when you delete the content or your account, apart from copies in backups that expire on their normal schedule.
We will not sell your content, license it to third parties, or use it in advertising.
5. Rules
Do not use WhereToGo to:
- post anything unlawful, hateful, harassing, or that attacks people for who they are;
- post sexual content involving minors, or any content that sexualises a child — this is reported to the authorities without exception;
- threaten, bully, stalk or intimidate anyone;
- post someone else's private information, including their home or workplace, without their consent;
- post content you do not have the right to post, including other people's photos;
- use anyone's presence or location on WhereToGo to follow, monitor or turn up on them against their wishes;
- impersonate anyone, or misrepresent where a place is;
- send spam, run bots, scrape the service, or try to break, overload or get around the security of any part of it;
- reverse engineer the app except where the law expressly permits it.
6. Other people's privacy
WhereToGo shows where people choose to be seen. Treat that as something entrusted to you: what someone shares inside the app is for the app. Do not republish another person's location, presence or private posts elsewhere, and do not build any record of someone's movements. Doing so is a breach of these terms and, in many places, of the law.
7. Content posted by other people
Posts, comments and messages are written by users, not by us. We do not check them before they appear and we do not endorse them. Places, opening times, crowd levels and photos may be wrong, out of date or missing — use your judgement, especially when deciding to travel somewhere.
You can report content in the app. We look at reports and may remove content or restrict an account when these terms are broken.
8. Where place information comes from
Information about places comes from Foursquare's open places data; maps are built from OpenStreetMap data, © OpenStreetMap contributors; and some photographs of places are provided by Google and credited to their photographers. Those sources have their own terms, and the attribution shown in the app must not be removed.
9. Ending things
You can stop using WhereToGo and delete your account whenever you want.
We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms, that we are legally required to act on, or that puts other people at risk. Where it is reasonable to do so we will tell you why and give you a chance to respond. If we close your account by mistake, write to us and we will put it right.
10. The service may change
WhereToGo is under active development. Features may be added, changed or withdrawn. We will not remove something you depend on without notice inside the app where we reasonably can, and we will never change these terms retroactively to your disadvantage.
11. No warranty
WhereToGo is provided “as is”. We do our best to keep it accurate and available, but we do not promise that it will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that the information in it is correct or complete. To the fullest extent the law allows, we exclude implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement.
12. Limits on our liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, lost profits, lost data, or anything arising from your reliance on place information or from your dealings with other users or with the places themselves. Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be limited — and if you are a consumer, your statutory rights are unaffected.
13. Changes to these terms
If we change these terms we will update the date above and tell you in the app before material changes take effect. Continuing to use WhereToGo afterwards means you accept the new version; if you do not, you can delete your account.
14. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Kingdom of Morocco, and the courts of Morocco have jurisdiction. If you are a consumer resident elsewhere, this does not deprive you of the protection of the mandatory laws of your own country, or of the right to bring proceedings there.
